Provence offers opportunities for canoeing and kayaking. There are several places where canoeing and kayaking can be practiced, from the coast to the hinterland, among rivers and lakes.

SORGUE
Among the various Provençal rivers, you can take a canoe-kayak trip by the Sorgue. Just a stone’s throw from Avignon, along the emerald-colored water, you can discover the green landscapes of the Sorgue. The trip can end with a swimming break.

VERDON REGIONAL NATURE PARK
Another place of interest is the Verdon Regional Nature Park. The Verdon and its lakes are ideal places for water sports and swimming. On the river many canoeists descend from the small streams enjoying the magical scenery that surrounds them.
On the Gorges du Verdon you can also do rafting. Between some thrilling passages and a sublime finish to the course at the entrance to the Canyon du Verdon, adrenaline rushes and thrills are assured.
Several beaches on Lake Sainte-Croix are guarded so that children can wade safely. You can also rent a pedal boat, kayak or electric boat without a license to find a wilder place to rest and enjoy the generous climate, typical of the Mediterranean.

CALANQUES NATIONAL PARK
Kayaking and canoeing are the ideal means to visit the Calanques National Park, consisting of a series of creeks. Located between Marseille and Cassis, the park offers a small wild bays, natural caves and secret beaches where you can take a break and enjoy the scenery.
