Regarded as one of the world’s largest live performance festivals, the event offers more than 1,500 performances by some 5,000 artists from more than 30 nationalities.
The Festival Off d ‘Avignon takes place in July, at the same time as the Festival d’Avignon, and offers a rich program, including readings, meetings, forums, concerts, exhibitions and more.
During the Festival Off d’Avignon, companies make the city a great stage of artistic confrontation where all disciplines of the performing arts are represented: theater, reading, café-théâtre, circus, dance, music, street performance, classical, modern or contemporary texts, for all audiences, of all ages.
During the event, several places welcome festival-goers who can find programs, subscriptions, company flyers.
The Village du Off, for the duration of the festival, is a place truly dedicated to the life of the festival, its artists and its audience; it offers a wide range of entertainment, meetings, readings, conferences and forums, concerts, exhibitions, web TV, but also a bar and restaurant, the store (by-products, technical equipment…)…
A subscription card is on sale in June that entitles the holder to discounts on Off shows, admission tickets to some monuments and museums in Avignon and Villeneuve lez Avignon, and other benefits.
The Festival Off takes place in July, at the same time as the Avignon Festival.
