In fact, the product has the PGI mark.  <\/span><\/h3>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.20.4&#8243; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p><span data-sheets-value=\"{\"1\":2,\"2\":\"Il famoso Riso di Camargue \u00e8 un prodotto alimentare a cui \u00e8 stato assegnato l'Indicazione Geografica Protetta (IGP), dal 6 giugno 2000.\\r\\nFu nel XIX secolo che questa coltura prese piede insieme ad altri cereali e viti. Oggi il 75% del riso francese proviene dai 15.000 ettari coltivati in Camargue, ovvero il 99% della produzione francese e il 55% nel comune di Arles.\\r\\nSe si vuole conoscere le varie fasi della lavorazione del riso, basta visitare la Maison du Riz. Si tratta uno spazio pedagogico suddiviso in tre parti, nel quale \u00e8 presentata la storia della risicoltura in Camargue dal suo inizio ai giorni nostri. Una prima parte \u00e8 dedicata al materiale di lavoro specifico alla risicoltura; una seconda al chicco di grano e alle varie fasi del processo di trasformazione; l\u2019ultima \u00e8 l\u2019angolo dell\u2019esposizione commerciale.\\r\\nPer capire l'importanta che la coltivazione del riso gioca in Camargue, ogni anno, a met\u00e0 settembre, si festeggia la F\u00e9ria du Riz. Quartieri, borghi, associazioni, famiglie festeggiano la raccolta del riso, a cui si aggiunge la sfilata dei carri.\"}\" data-sheets-userformat=\"{\"2\":13249,\"3\":{\"1\":0},\"9\":1,\"10\":1,\"11\":4,\"12\":0,\"15\":\"Arial\",\"16\":11}\">The famous <strong>Camargue Rice<\/strong> is a food product, awarded the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI), since June 6, 2000.<br \/>It was in the 19th century that this crop took hold along with other cereals and vines. Today 75% of French rice comes from the 15,000 hectares cultivated in <a href=\"https:\/\/itourprovenza.it\/en\/camargue-wild-land\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Camargue<\/a>, or 99% of French production and 55% in the municipality of Arles.<br \/>If you want to learn about the various stages of rice processing, just visit the Maison du Riz. This is a pedagogical space divided into three parts, in which the history of rice farming in Camargue from its inception to the present day is presented. A first part is devoted to working material specific to rice farming; a second to the grain and the various stages of the transformation process; and the last is the commercial exhibition corner.<br \/>To understand the importance that rice cultivation plays in Camargue, the F\u00e9ria du Riz is celebrated every year in mid-September.
