La Pointe de Carro, south of Martigues, is the perfect place to spend a family surfing vacation . Located at the mouth of the harbor, the south-facing Arnettes spot will delight beginner and experienced surfers alike. Good swells are emerging, especially at the end of the year. A little further on is the Corniche spot in Sausset-les-Pins. With its magnificent pebble reef and sometimes hollow, sometimes tubular waves, it is a surfer’s paradise. What’s more, the spot is bordered by a pleasant boardwalk where the curious linger. And to get tips from local surfers, you’ll want to stop by one of the surf stores and schools on the coast! <\/p>\n
MARSEILLE
Surfing in Marseille is absolutely possible! Enthusiasts will even tell you that you can surf 100 days a year, from October to May! Take note: the southwest waves in winter are the best. On Prado beach, the Bonneveine spot offers the best waves. With Mistral waves in front, it is one of the best spots in Marseille. A little tip: be sure to live with the kitesurfers sometimes present. For beginners, on the other hand, Pointe Rouge beach is ideal to start surfing with its waves on board. <\/p>\n
BETWEEN CANNES AND NICE
Among the most beautiful surf spots in Cannes, the Palm Beach spot is a must. In the heart of Cannes Bay, on Gazaniaire Beach, it is the best way to enjoy beautiful sessions in an idyllic setting. With its swell coming from the south and its hollow or tubular waves, the spot is accessible to beginners and experts alike. Not far from there, the aerospace spot of Cannes-la-Bocca offers shallow waves along the pier. Head for Saint-Laurent-du-Varalla, mouth of the Var, where several estuary spots offer good waves. Beware, however, of fairly strong currents. Head to the Lecques resort in Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer where a large beach of more than a kilometer and a pleasant bay facing La Ciotat is at your disposal. Then head to Bonnegrace Beach in Six-Fours-les- Plages, a great hangout for bikers. The Brutal Beach spot is very popular when the mistral blows. The waves here are easy, and the spot is accessible but often busy. A few kilometers away, the Bandol spot near Anse de Ren\u00e9cros will delight bodyboarders. Another option: the large beach at Lavandou. Calm and quiet in summer for swimmers, it wakes up and reveals itself when autumn arrives with waves that can reach 3 meters high. <\/p>\n
