Si tratta di una terra fertile per la flora e la fauna, tanto da essere un'area protetta e ad ospitare il Parco naturale regionale della Camargue.\\r\\nIn questo territorio, vi sono pi\u00f9 di 400 specie di uccelli, con gli stagni di acqua salata che forniscono uno dei pochi habitat europei per il fenicottero rosa. Gli stagni sono poi favorevoli anche alla vita di insetti, fra cui alcune delle pi\u00f9 feroci zanzare di tutta la Francia. It is a fertile land for flora and fauna, so much so that it is a protected area and home to the <strong>Camargue Regional Nature Park<\/strong>.<br \/>In this area, there are more than 400 species of birds, with the saltwater ponds providing one of the few European habitats for the pink flamingo. The ponds are also then conducive to insect life, including some of the fiercest mosquitoes in all of France. Camargue is home to a particular breed of white horses, called the Camargue.<br \/>Another typical landscape of this region are the sansouries, salt-soil grasslands where the saltwort, a fleshy plant, grows and where bulls and horses graze freely.<br \/>The flora of the Camargue is adapted to coexist with saltwater conditions; thus, sea lavender flourishes in addition to tamarisk, willows and reeds.<br \/>For nature lovers, a visit to this wilderness is an absolute must.
