Da l\u00ec, apprezzerai la magnificenza del lago di Sainte-Croix, paradiso per gli appassionati di sport acquatici e il secondo bacino artificiale in Francia, inaugurato nel 1974. A qualche chilometro, presso il livello del villaggio d'Esparron-de-Verdon c'\u00e8 il Lac d'Esparron, lago pi\u00f9 piccolo ma altrettanto incantevole.\\n\\nLA DURANCE\\nLasciando le Alpi per varcare le porte della Provenza, nei pressi di Sisteron, scorre il fiume Durance. Si tratta di un fiume imprevedibile, noto per le sue imponenti e formidabili inondazioni. Ospita una fauna ricca e diversificata tra cui pesci, cormorani, aironi o castori. Lungo il fiume, sorgono i villaggi di Jouques, Peyrolles-en-Provence , Meyrargues e La Roque d'Antheron.\\n\\nLA SORGUE\\nAltro fiume di grande bellezza \u00e8 la Sorgue. Il fiume nasce dalla famosa sorgente Fonte di Valchiusa, nel dipartimento di Vaucluse. Si tratta della maggiore sorgente della Francia e si distingue per il colore delle sue acque, un verde brillante e intenso. La sorgente ispir\u00f2 a Francesco Petrarca (che soggiorn\u00f2 nei pressi) i celebri versi di Chiare, fresche et dolci acque.\\n\\nARGENS\\nRinomato fin dall'epoca gallo-romana per la qualit\u00e0 della produzione agricola che genera, l'Argens ha la sua sorgente a Seillons-Source-d'Argens, a nord di Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume e Brignoles, per sfociare nel Mediterraneo, a pochi passi da Frejus. Il fiume prende il nome dal colore \u201cbianco come l'argento\u201d delle sue acque, attraversa paesaggi incantevoli e vaste pianure agricole, da scoprire a piedi o in canoa.\\n\\nLAGO DI CARC\u00c8S\\nImmerso nel cuore della verde Provenza, il Lago di Carc\u00e8s \u2013 o Lago di Sainte Suzanne \u2013 annesso ai villaggi di Carc\u00e8s e Cabasse, nasce da una diga eretta tra il 1934 e il 1939 e progettata per fornire acqua potabile a Tolone. Nelle belle giornate, le sue sponde sono popolate da gente del posto che viene a condividere un picnic sotto un cielo limpido. Popolato da carpe, persici, lucioperca, saraghi e lucci, il lago \u00e8 anche molto frequentato dai pescatori.\\n\\nIL RODANO E L'ETANG DE BERRE\\nSorgendo in Provenza a ovest di Orange, il Rodano segue il suo corso fino ad Avignone, dove scorre sotto il famoso ponte di Saint-B\u00e9n\u00e9zet, poi ad Arles, dove si divide in armi: il piccolo Rodano, a est, e il Grand Rodano a ovest. Tra i due si estendono il delta del Rodano e il Parco Naturale Regionale della Camargue. \\nAd est del delta, si trova l'Etang de Berre, il pi\u00f9 grande stagno salato d'Europa. Divenuto negli anni '30 un importante sito industriale, oggi l'Etang de Berre \u00e8 meta dei windsurfisti e kitesurfisti.\"}\" data-sheets-userformat=\"{\"2\":13249,\"3\":{\"1\":0},\"9\":1,\"10\":1,\"11\":4,\"12\":0,\"15\":\"Arial\",\"16\":11}\" data-sheets-textstyleruns=\"{\"1\":0}\uee10{\"1\":1458,\"2\":{\"6\":1}}\uee10{\"1\":1488}\">For a swim, a walk, a water sports session or a lazy break on the water, <strong>Provence&#8217;s lakes and rivers<\/strong> are undoubtedly the perfect places.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>THE LAKES OF SAINTE CROIX AND ESPARRON<\/strong><br \/>In the heart of the Verdon, straddling the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and the Var, is Lac de Sainte-Croix, a reservoir, inaugurated in 1974, and located near the village of Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon. From there, one can appreciate the magnificence of the Lac de Sainte-Croix, a paradise for water sports enthusiasts and the second reservoir in France, inaugurated in 1974. A few kilometers away, near the level of the village of Esparron-de-Verdon, is Lac d&#8217;Esparron, a smaller but equally enchanting lake.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>LA DURANCE<\/strong><br \/>Leaving the Alps to enter the gates of Provence, near Sisteron, flows the Durance River. It is an unpredictable river, known for its impressive and formidable floods. It hosts a rich and diverse fauna including fish, cormorants, herons or beavers. Along the river, several villages arise, such as those of Jouques, Peyrolles-en-Provence , Meyrargues and La Roque d&#8217;Antheron.   <\/p>\n<p><strong>LA SORGUE<\/strong><br \/>Another river of great beauty is definitely the Sorgue. The river originates from the famous source Fonte di Valchiusa spring in the Vaucluse department. It is the largest spring in France and is distinguished by the color of its waters, a bright, deep green. The spring inspired Francesco Petrarch (who stayed nearby) with the famous verses of &#8220;Chiare, fresche et dolci acque.&#8221;   <\/p>\n<p><strong>ARGENS<\/strong><br \/>Renowned since Gallo-Roman times for the quality of the agricultural production it generates, the Argens has its source at Seillons-Source-d&#8217;Argens, north of Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume and Brignoles, to flow into the Mediterranean, just a stone&#8217;s throw from Frejus. Named after the &#8220;silver-white&#8221; color of its waters, the river flows through enchanting landscapes and vast agricultural plains, to be discovered on foot or by canoe. <\/p>\n<p><strong>LAKE OF CARC\u00c8S<\/strong><br \/>Nestled in the heart of green Provence, Lake Carc\u00e8s-or Lake Sainte Suzanne-annexed to the villages of Carc\u00e8s and Cabasse, stems from a dam erected between 1934 and 1939 and designed to supply drinking water to Toulon. On fine days, its banks are populated by locals who come to share a picnic under clear skies. Populated by carp, perch, zander, bream and pike, the lake is also popular with fishermen.  <\/p>\n<p>THE RODAN <strong>AND THE ETANG DE BERRE<\/strong><br \/>Rising in Provence west of Orange, the Rhone follows its course to Avignon, where it flows under the famous Saint-B\u00e9n\u00e9zet bridge, then to Arles, where it divides into arms: the Little Rhone, to the east, and the Grand Rhone to the west. Between the two lies the Rhone delta and the Camargue Regional Nature Park.<br \/>East of the delta is the Etang de Berre, the largest salt pond in Europe.
